Raise Drill Fitter

Join the Macmahon Underground Mining team as an experienced Raised Drill Fitter, and be responsible for maintenance and repairs of the raise drill and IT fleet.

About the Role

• Full-time permanent employment.
• 8:6 roster (every 3rd rotation will be a week of Night Shift)
• Unbelievable camp with excellent dry & wet mess facilities, fully equipped gym, pool, tennis/basket ball courts etc
• DIDO from Roxby Downs SA
• FIFO - Flights and accommodation covered from Capital Cities

About you

• Australian Recognised trade qualification (Cert III in Mobile Plant) or equivalent.
• Experience with Raise Bore drill rigs & associated equipment  (e.g. Robbins, Dresser, Atlas Copco/Epiroc, Herrenknecht, Volvo IT’s).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability with Hydraulic, 24v CAN/ RCS 4-5 electrics, and mechanical issues.
• Experience with underground or surface drilling equipment.
• Valid manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence (Mandatory).
• Working at Heights, High Risk Forklift Ticket and First Aid (Essential), dogging & rigging (desirable).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Exceptional record keeping and time management
• Detailed knowledge of underground mining and safety regulations.
