About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will lead and provide Maintenance Supervision to safely execute planned and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring mobile equipment and supporting assets are maintained to maximise reliability, availability and operational performance. Working closely with planning and HSEQT teams, you will drive maintenance excellence, equipment performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance crews to safely execute planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance, reliability and availability to maximise fleet utilisation and minimise downtime.
- Ensure maintenance work orders and schedules are completed efficiently and in line with site requirements.
- Promote safe work practices and the effective operation, maintenance and care of mobile plant and equipment.
- Support maintenance planning, scheduling and defect management processes to achieve operational objectives.
- Coach and develop team members, drive accountability, and foster a culture of respect, performance and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven leadership experience supervising maintenance teams within an open-cut mining environment.
- Strong communication and people leadership skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, develop teams and drive accountability.
- Sound planning, troubleshooting and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on equipment reliability, asset performance and maintenance efficiency.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, risk management, statutory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Experience supervising maintenance personnel on a Coal mine site and a strong understanding of relevant statutory obligations will be highly regarded.
- Relevant mining supervision and risk management competencies.
- Experience leading maintenance crews in an open-cut mining environment.
- Strong understanding of QLD statutory and safety requirements
