Civil Project Manager

Job Summary

TMM Group delivers design and construction services to the resource, mining, energy and infrastructure industries across Australia. We manage all projects from prefeasibility and concept studies, through to full project execution, EPC and EPCM.

TMM Group is going through an exciting period of growth and are seeking expressions of interest for a Civil Project Manager.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role would be responsible for managing projects and resources to ensure project delivery is on time, on budget and to agreed specifications and quality standards.
Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage projects to meet client expectations with regards to technical specification, budgets and the completion schedules;
  • Schedule deliverables, resource requirements and forecast ongoing requirements;
  • Work closely with multiple clients across the different stages of project execution to achieve mutual objectives;
  • Effectively report to the business and the client on the program and schedule, keeping all informed on the status and progress of work;
  • Ensure compliance with all company and legislative standards and specifications;
  • Provide safety leadership across the project with a strong focus on process safety and culture and manage compliance to ensure a safe working environment.


As an experienced Project Manager, you will ideally possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (or similar);
  • Risk Management, Incident Investigation & Communications qualifications;
  • PMP certification;
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the mining industry;
  • Demonstrated experience managing, assessing and prioritising resources, people and projects;
  • Demonstrated experience managing bulk civil earthworks projects such as dams, flood levees and roadworks;
  • Management of multi-disciplined project teams.


In addition, you will ideally be able to demonstrate skills such as:

  • Strong EPC Management skills in a contracting environment;
  • Ability to manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and the client across the project with a high level of knowledge, interpersonal skills and commercial acumen;
  • Strong commercial focus and highly developed negotiation skills with a good working knowledge of contracts and tender processes;
  • Strong leadership/management skills;
  • Attention to detail.
