HD Fitter - Mt Keith

 

 

 

 

About the Role

 

 

  • Permanent full-time role with a leading mining contractor
  • 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster flying in and out of Perth
  • Enjoy working in a small crew on a new project at Mt Keith
  • Retention Bonus paid at June 30

 

We are currently looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join an exciting new project for Macmahon at Mt Keith in the Goldifelds. This role will be working on a 2 weeks on (7 dayshifts followed by 7 nightshifts), 1 week off roster. FIFO Ex Perth, Salary sacrificing options available for flights for Eastern States candidates.

Working in a close knit crew, the HD Fitter will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing all mobile plant equipment on site. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Carrying out scheduled servicing and providing technical support in a safe an efficient manner
  • Providing diagnostics and repairs to breakdowns on site
  • Keeping appropriate maintenance records
  • Maintaining high level of housekeeping in your work area
The Successful Candidate will have

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a mine site environment
  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Demonstrated experience working on a range of heavy duty mobile plant, including some of the following: CAT D10/D11 Dozers, CAT 992 & 994 Loaders, CAT & Liebherr larger Excavators & 996 Shovels, CAT Graders 16 H/24M, CAT 785,789 & 793 Dump Trucks
  • Exceptional diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
  • High level of fitness to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Able to provide a National Police Clearance
