LV Mechanic
Join the Macmahon team as a Qualified and Experienced LV Fitter at the Warrawoona Gold Project mine located 25km from Marble Bar and be responsible for servicing and maintaining all light vehicles on site.
About the role
- FIFO from Perth to Marble Bar (Fridays)
- 2:1 roster
- 7% market uplift allowance – paid quarterly
- 5% site allowance – paid quarterly
- Servicing light vehicles according to the planned schedule
- Diagnosing faults and breakdowns of light vehicles
- Ordering materials and spare parts
- Maintaining the vehicle service and history documentation; cleaning; maintaining workplace, tools and equipment
About you
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate
- Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the repairs and maintenance of small fleets and site vehicles (Toyota 4WDs, Bus Commuter, etc)
- Previous experience in the surface mining industry or large-scale operations
- Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting/interpretive skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills; able to take directions and instructions from team leaders
- Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values
- Ability to work autonomously; proactive approach to working environment
