HD Mechanic Fitter
Join the Macmahon team as a Qualified and Experienced HD Fitter at the Warrawoona Gold Project mine located 25km from Marble Bar and be responsible for the breakdown repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment; diagnostic fault finding on mechanical systems and maintain the maintenance data on a daily basis.
About the role
- FIFO from Perth to Marble Bar (Fridays)
- 2:1 roster
- 7% market uplift allowance – paid quarterly
- 5% site allowance – paid quarterly
Machines on-site
- Excavators: Liebherr 9200, 9100; Hitachi 1200-6; CAT 785C
- Drills: Epiroc T-45
- Trucks: Caterpillar 777C & D
- Water carts: CAT 773, CAT 740C
- Loader: Komatsu WA900-8
- Dozers: CAT D9T, D10R
- Graders: Caterpillar 14M
About you
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate
- Western Australian Driving Licence
- Proven experience in the repairs and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment (Caterpillar & Hitachi highly regarded)
- Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting / interpretive skills
- Previous experience in the mining industry or large-scale operations
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values
