Join the Tropicana Team as an HSEQ & Training Superintendent
Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced HSEQ & Training Superintendent to join our team at the Tropicana site. In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to operational teams in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health, safety, environment, quality (HSEQ), and training systems.
About the Role
- 4/3 and 5/2 FIFO from Perth
- Leadership: Lead the on-site HSEQ & Training team, ensuring high-quality service delivery in alignment with Macmahon’s values and operational goals
- Implementation & Compliance: Support project teams to ensure all HSEQ policies and procedures are effectively implemented, followed, and proactively managed
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster collaboration across departments and with key external stakeholders, including clients
- Training Coordination: Drive the planning and scheduling of training requirements across site operations
- Operational Support: Ensure all site departments are adequately supported with HSEQ and training resources
Requirements for the role
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
- Proven leadership capability and demonstrated experience leading HSEQ and training functions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt across various projects and client requirements
- Practical knowledge of machinery operation and mining processes (hands-on experience across all machines not essential)
- Understanding of strategic direction and how it informs project value delivery
