The Telfer Gold Mine is located in the Great Sandy Desert in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia and produces copper and gold. Macmahon commenced its operations at the Telfer mine site in February 2016 and is delivering the surface drill and blast, load and haul, mobile maintenance and rehandle mine functions until 2023.

We are currently looking for an experienced Reliability Analyst to join our Team at Telfer on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster (dayshift only), that will then revert back to 8 days on 6 days off.  

Reporting to Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this role is to improve safety, inherent machine reliability, productivity, maintainability and the effectiveness of maintenance as well as performance and cost effectiveness of mobile plant equipment.

The following outcomes are deemed critical for achieving success in this role:
  • Analysing and acting upon available data on equipment performance;
  • Driving defect elimination and continuous improvement processes;
  • Undertaking maintenance strategy development and revision where required;
  • Maintaining a register of improvements implemented and the value to the business;
  • Managing the SOS program in accordance with the MAH Fluid Condition Monitoring Procedure P-SP-841;
  • Managing MAH Warranty process on site in accordance with P-SP-775;
  • Managing the site CTS, Bucket, and Tray Wear monitoring program;
  • Ensuring defect elimination Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and actions are completed in a timely manner and with a high level of quality;
  • Attend, facilitate and promote weekly and monthly reliability meetings;
  • Evaluating mobile equipment performance and the effectiveness of the processes and procedures designed to support their performance; and
  • Ensuring all relevant documents are submitted efficiently and accurately on time for processing.
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, accompanied relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a Trade Certificate;  
  • Strong technical understanding of maintenance processes and preventative maintenance techniques;
  • Sound knowledge of heavy mobile equipment condition monitoring and analysis;
  • Understanding of KPI maintenance and reporting;
  • High level of analytical ability and trouble shooting skills;
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Current WA C drivers licence or equivalent.
