Primary Excavator Operator

Job Responsibilities

Macmahon is currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join the Tropicana Project team. Macmahon is committed to attracting high potential employees and believe that our people define our competitive edge in the market place, driving our growth. These positions will either be on a 2:1 OR 2:2 roster, flying from Perth to Project Site.
To be considered in this position you must have;

  • Previous experience in a similar role in an open-cut mining environment;
  • Extensive experience operating 250 tonne+ excavators in production mode, preferably on one of the following;
  • CAT 6060, 6040
  • CAT 6060 Face Shovel
  • Hitachi 3600, 2600
  • Liebherr 996
  • Demonstrated experience operating variety of ancillary equipment, e.g.
  • CAT D10/D11 dozers
  • CAT 994 loaders
  • CAT graders 16m/24m
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team;
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence.

Should you be successful in being offered a role in Macmahon's Surface Mining Division, you will be required to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test along with obtaining a National Police Clearance.
