Driller - Experienced - Tropicana

Position Description


Tropicana Gold Project is a large gold mining operation located 330km north-east of Kalgoorlie, on the edge of Western Australia's Great Victoria Desert. Macmahon's 10-year mining contract includes all mine planning, drill and blast, load and haul, crusher feed and other associated works.


Macmahon is seeking for Exploration Drillers (RC Driller) to be trained to become Blast Hole Drillers to work on this operation FIFO from Perth to Project Site on a 2:1 roster. You will be part of a large, high energy team so possession of multiple skill sets and licenses/qualifications will be highly regarded as they will greatly enhance your versatility within the role.  This will be for a period of 6-month with a possible extension.

In light of the Global Health Crisis the 2:1 roster will temporarily be a 4:2 roster.

Key Requirements:


  • Australian Drivers licence
  • Current National Police clearance (issued within the 6 months)
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol testing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role
