The Workshop undertakes a range of tasks to manage Macmahon's fleet of equipment, as well as maintenance projects for external clients. The workshop is undercover and houses the rebuild workshop, quarantine, sandblast and paint shop, component workshop and warehouse store.
Our maintenance teams take pride in keeping our sites operating safely and efficiently. You'll work with skilled people who look out for each other and take pride in doing the job right. Together, we keep our fleet safe and reliable.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Blaster & Painter to join our Workshop team at Perth Airport. You'll carry out abrasive blasting, industrial spray painting and corrosion protection on a range of mining and earthmoving equipment, structures and components. Working alongside experienced teammates, you'll help deliver quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

- Location: Perth Airport, WA (residential)
- Roster: 4D7N3X5D2X5D2X (with 7 Night Shifts every 4 weeks)
- Rate: Depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Abrasive blast and spray paint mining and earthmoving equipment
- Complete surface preparation and corrosion protection works
- Maintain paint shop equipment and work areas to a safe standard
- Deliver quality work safely and efficiently
- Complete required job documentation and reports
- Support a strong safety culture where everyone goes home safe
What You'll Bring
- Relevant Trade Qualification in Painting & Decorating, Industrial Coatings or similar
- Experience in industrial spray painting and abrasive blasting
- Experience working on mining, earthmoving or heavy mobile equipment
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
- Forklift Licence (advantageous)
- Working at Heights (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
