Recruitment Advisor - Underground

As the Recruitment Advisor - Underground, you will be responsible for attracting, selecting, and hiring the best talent for Macmahon’s underground mining operations. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs, manage end-to-end recruitment processes, and ensure that we hire skilled professionals who align with our values and objectives. You will play a pivotal role in building a strong underground team to support Macmahon’s growth in the mining sector.

 


About the role
Lead the recruitment process for Macmahon’s underground portfolio, including advertising roles, reviewing CVs, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and providing a seamless experience for candidates.
Partner with hiring managers to develop clear job specifications and recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent for underground roles.
Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices and industry trends for recruitment.
Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records of recruitment activities in Success Factors. 
Promote Macmahon’s employer brand to attract top talent to the company.


About you 

  • Experience in fast paced blue-collar recruitment.
  • Experience in mining or underground operations recruitment.
  • Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on recruitment goals.
  • Proven ability to source and attract high-quality candidates.
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools, strategies, and techniques, particularly for skilled trades and technical positions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with candidates at all levels, providing a positive candidate experience.
  • Highly organised with strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise recruitment needs across multiple roles and projects.
  • Experience with Success Factors desirable.
