Job Responsibilities
Payroll Officer / Senior Payroll Officer
We are seeking a detail‑orientated and proactive Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team at our Perth WA Head Office.
About the role
- Monday to Friday at Perth WAC Head Office.
- End to end payroll processing in accordance with legislative requirements and internal policies.
- Ensuring salary disbursements are accurate and delivered within required timeframes.
- Maging overpayments, recoveries leave administration and payroll reporting.
- Interpreting awards, enterprise agreemtns, and relevent legislation.
- Supporting audits, reconciliations, and payroll related queires.
- identifying and implementing opporunities to improve payroll processed and procedures
- Senior Officers are responsible for providing guidance and support to payroll officers as well as assisting with complex payroll matters and escalations.
About you
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of two year's payroll experience within the mining or a similar industry.
- Excellent numeracy skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using payroll systems - Chris 21 expeirence will be desiable but not mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
