Role Details

• Location:  Established and new projects across Western Australia
• Flights:  FIFO Perth or DIDO Kalgoorlie/Goldfields
• Roster: 7/7 (rotating days and nights) OR 14/14 (days and nights)
• Brand-new Sandvik fleets on site – DL432i, DL422i - with more arriving soon

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Operate Sandvik DL422i and DL432i longhole drill rigs in a safe and efficient manner
• Utilise advance automation and rig control systems, including iSeries controls on the DL432i
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine inspections and basic maintenance of drilling equipment
• Maintain accurate drilling records and production data
• Collaborate with the underground team to optimise drilling performance and productivity
• Contribute to our people-first culture and live our Winning Values  
• Help teammates, share knowledge and support a strong crew culture  

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years experience in underground drilling with a strong focus on up-hole drilling
• Solid understanding of longhole stoping methods and production drilling principles
• Proven ability to read and interpret mine plans, drill designs, layout and stope instructions
• Sound knowledge of ground support practices and safe stope entry procedures
• Strong awareness and application of underground mining safety standards and regulations
• Valid manual (C class) Australian drivers licence (essential)
• High Risk Work Licence – EWP, Forklift, Dogging (desirable)
• Cert III in Underground Metalliferous Mining (desirable)
