About the role
Join Macmahon's Graduate Engineer Program and gain practical experience across our surface mining operations throughout Western Australia.
Designed to support the transition from university to industry, the program provides hands-on operational exposure, structured development, and mentoring from experienced mining professionals. Throughout the program, you'll build technical capability, develop your understanding of mining operations, and gain exposure to a range of commodities, projects and operational environments.
The program is designed to support your development as an Engineer while providing the operational experience required for future career progression within the mining industry.

- Graduate Mining Engineer opportunities across Macmahon's surface mining operations in Western Australia
- FIFO or DIDO roster arrangements depending on site requirements
- Exposure to multiple operational environments and mining commodities

Responsibilities
- Support mine planning, drill and blast, production and operational activities
- Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyse operational performance and contribute to business outcomes
- Build strong working relationships with operational teams and stakeholders

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification
Recent graduate or final-year student eligible to commence full-time employment
Full Australian working rights (Citizenship or Permanent Residency)
Willingness to work FIFO or DIDO rosters and travel across Western Australian operations
Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to continuous development
Successful applicants must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, as well as criminal history and qualification checks
