Training Supervisor

Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the King of the Hills (KOTH) mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon has secured a five-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 Ltd. The mine anticipates annual production above 200kozpa. KOTH is Australia’s next major Gold Mine, which will feature state-of-the-art technology, 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Training Supervisor on an 8:6 Roster to the Project with responsibilities not limited to the following:

  • Lead the delivery of all operational training requirements across Macmahon’s Surface and Underground Operations
  • Ensure site personnel are able to perform their roles in accordance with site and industry standards and in line with Macmahon policies and procedures
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of all site training activities to support the achievement of the operational contract deliverables
  • Lead the provision of training to increase proficiency of Macmahon mobile plant operators
  • Responsible to the Mine Manager for all compliance and competency-training activity across Macmahon’s “King of the Hills” Project
  • Ensure compliance with industry and organisational training and education standards
  • Identify training needs for all site personnel
  • Manage all site workplace assessment activities
  • Manage the accurate data capture and recording of all training and education activities
  • Evaluate and report on all site training and education activities

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience

  • 5 years + working in a training role preferably within a large-scale surface mining environment
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the mining industry
  • Proven experience in proficient operations of various mobile equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Graders and Dump Trucks).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • Certificate IV WHS
  • Frontline management certification/training
