Specialist - Customer Support

Macmahon are currently seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join the Perth Workshop team based near the Perth International Airport. This role is offered on a Monday – Friday basis, reporting into the Workshop Support Supervisor.

 

 
The Customer Support Specialist is responsible for the effective facilitation of all customer requirements both internal and external to the Macmahon workshop business unit. In your role, you will schedule service repairs, coordinate reporting of repair progress, update, maintain and communicate variances and pricing to customers along with business development of existing clientele and data collection for the purpose of new client establishment. Additionally, you will be a responsible for ensuring invoicing and accounts receivable are maintained efficiently, working heavily with the WIP controller and Finance team to achieve high performing financial outcomes for the Macmahon business.

 


 Key skills and experience:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience within a similar multi-faceted customer service orientated role within a similar industry at a leadership capacity.
  • Fabrication and Boilermaker estimating experience highly advantageous. 
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and determining an estimation of labour, materials, subcontracts and all other requirements.
  • Previous experience in technical drawing highly advantageous.   
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritize accordingly.
  • Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal).
  • Ability to create, maintain and be able to “talk to” Gantt charts, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office).
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to enable effective resolution of issues within the workplace and/or customer disputes.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
  • Sound knowledge of OEM parts systems & literature, particularly SIS, Caterpillar.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Trade Qualification – Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Boilermaker/Fabrication. (Advantageous but non-essential)
  • Completion or attainment towards Certificate IV Frontline Management.
  • Completion of Certificate IV Project Management.
