Business Analyst - Finance Systems

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst – Finance Systems to join our Perth based Corporate Technology Team in our Head Office at Perth Airport. Reporting to Business Production & Systems Lead, this role provides of day-to-day functional and technical support to the business for Macmahon’s core finance applications. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Primarily supporting the company’s ERP Solution – SAP S/4 HANA Cloud with a finance focus, through assisting in the resolution of problems that span across one or multiple core applications, ensuring resolution of technical problems, issues, or transactional errors, using support software;
  • Supporting the deployment of new functionality into the ERP systems, by testing changes from an operational perspective and ensuring they don’t interfere with or reduce existing system functionality;
  • Performing regular tasks, provide information and reports (as required) to management and business units that use the core system (eg. system configuration, upload data, prepare daily reports);
  • Assisting in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how these automated functions are integrated into the rest of the business and Technology processes;
  • Assuring functional specifications are consistent with the technology roadmap;
  • Ensuring all relevant documents are submitted efficiently and accurately on time for processing; and
  • Ability and willingness to conduct other tasks when required.

 

To be considered for a role, you will require:

 

  • Previous experience in a technical support role, accompanied by tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline;
  • Background in finance and/or accounting principles demonstrated through qualifications or prior industry experience;
  • Well established exposure to ERP Financial applications - preference given to S/4 HANA cloud proficiency;
  • Robust customer service focus, evidenced through courteous and professional dealings with all stakeholders;
  • Broad understanding of IT and industry trends; and
  • Current Manual "C" Class WA Drivers Licence or equivalent.

 

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally you will have to provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
