Production Supervisor - Mt Carlton
Macmahon is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to support the recommencement of operations at Mt Carlton mine. Located approximately two hours south of Townsville, Mt Carlton is a gold silver operation preparing to transition from care and maintenance back into production. This restart presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of safe, efficient and sustainable operational practices from the outset.
This position operates on a 7 Days on / 7 Days Off roster, followed by 7 Nights on / 7 Days off roster, DIDO Only.
About The Role
- Lead safe work practices by driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring full compliance with site standards.
- Supervise daily mining operations across digging, hauling and dumping activities to deliver safe and efficient outcomes.
- Execute the mine plan, ensuring production activities align with short term schedules and operational targets.
- Monitor fleet performance, including cycle times, delays and equipment utilisation, optimising outcomes in collaboration with Dispatch.
- Provide leadership and coaching to operators to build capability, maintain engagement and support performance.
- Ensure accurate reporting through shift logs, production data, environmental checks and incident documentation.
- Coordinate with site departments, including Maintenance, Technical Services and Drill & Blast, to maintain operational flow.
About You
- Extensive surface mining experience as a Production Supervisor, Leading Hand or Senior Operator
- A strong, proven commitment to safety and excellent communication skills across all levels.
- Background and technical knowledge of a range of equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge to a level of understanding equipment capabilities, maintenance scheduling and preventative maintenance methods.
- Detailed knowledge of mining and safety regulations.
- Certification in Frontline Management.
