Tyre Supervisor

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Tyre Supervisor to join the team at our Foxleigh coal project located near Middlemount in the Bowen Basin. This is a five-year contract which encompasses the provision of mobile plant & maintenance services, including the maintenance of client owned equipment.


Key duties/responsibilities include:
• Maximise the availability and reliability of all mobile equipment through a consistent inspection and reporting regime
• To manage all tyre applications to OEM specifications and ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor as required
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the client, suppliers, subcontractors, external service
• providers and internal stakeholders
• Embrace and support the maintenance department ‘s planning strategy regarding work order management and defect elimination
• Ensure that operational schedules are met in accordance with strategic operational planning
• Conduct and participate in all weekly toolbox meetings, daily pre-shift meetings and scheduled staff or contractual meetings as necessary
• Adhere and promote a zero-harm work environment


To be successful in this position you must have:
• Certificate II tyre fitting and tyre handling
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a Mining environment
• Knowledge and experience of heavy mobile plant, Caterpillar Haul Tucks, Graders, dozers, and
• ancillary equipment
• Standard 11 induction
• Coal Board Medical
• Drivers Licence (manual)

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will be asked to provide proof of working rights in Australia i.e., copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification where applicable.
