Macmahon are currently seeking a dynamic Reliability Engineer to join our Plant Maintenance Team. The position is Perth Based working at our Head Office near the International Airport. Hours of work will be Monday - Friday, hours will depend on operational requirements and reporting into the Reliability Manager. 

Key accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the SOS program in accordance with the MAH Fluid Condition Monitoring Procedure P-SP-841
  • Management of the MAH Warranty process on site in accordance with P-SP-775
  • Manage the site CTS, Bucket and Tray Wear monitoring program
  • Identify and develop, or where required, escalate to the OEM to provide engineering solutions to address repetitive failures, high downtime, labour or cost failures and other problems that adversely affect mobile plant performance
  • Ensure defect elimination Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and actions are completed in a timely manner and with a high level of quality
  • Maintain a register of improvements implemented and the value to the business
  • Attend, facilitate and promote weekly and monthly Reliability Meetings
  • Review current maintenance practices and procedures and identify areas for improving costs, efficiencies and productivity
  • Evaluate mobile equipment performance and the effectiveness of the processes and procedures designed to support their performance

The successful candidate will be a proactive, detail focused, team player and will possess the following:

  • Strong technical understanding of maintenance processes and preventive maintenance techniques
  • Sound knowledge of heavy mobile equipment condition monitoring and analysis
  • High level of analytical ability and trouble shooting skills
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Trade Qualification
  • +5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Maintenance KPIs and reporting
