- Roster: 7:7 (Local) – rotating day and night shifts

About the Role
Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Light Vehicle Fitters to join our team at the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island.
In this hands-on role, you will perform carry out repairs, servicing and diagnostics on various light vehicles, buses and equipment. You’ll work alongside the team based in the surface workshop, sharing knowledge and support to get the job done safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on light vehicles, buses and underground equipment.
- Complete servicing and maintenance to OEM standards and site procedures.
- Support equipment reliability, availability and safe operating performance.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to safely execute maintenance activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- New Zealand recognised Light Vehicle Trade Qualification.
- At least 2 years experiences as a qualified tradesperson with breakdown repairs and servicing of light vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding on mechanical systems.
- Experience managing maintenance records and reporting systems.
- Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential).
