Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the "King of the Hills” mine located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia 28km north of Leonora. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface and Underground mining contract with RED 5 ltd, the mine will have annual production above 200kozpa, King of the Hills is Australia’s next major Gold Mine which will feature State-of-the-Art Technology 85% new plant and brand-new camp facilities.

We are currently seeking an experienced Surface Trainer to work FIFO on a 2:2 Roster to the Project with responsibilities not limited to:
•    Coordinating and executing training and assessment in accordance with Macmahon training standards and site-specific training plan 
•    Identifying any out of date, inaccurate or unsuitable content in site training material and bring to the attention of the Training Supervisor
•    Maintaining training records to ensure accuracy, currency, and confidentiality
•    Support training of other site departments as required
•    Ensuring compliance of training forecast/schedule and allocated training requirements 
•    Delivering face-to-face structured training in both one-on-one situations as well as small group training in classroom and workplace environments 
•    Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with people at all levels
•    Identify training needs for all site personnel and create applicable Training Plans
•    Manage all site workplace assessment activities (production, maintenance, drill and contractors)
•    Manage the accurate data capture and recording of all training and education activities.
•    Evaluate and report on all site training and education activities.
•    Coordinating and executing training and assessment in accordance with Macmahon training standards and site-specific training plan

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

Essential - 
•    Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
•    Great interpersonal and communication skills
•    Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values
•    Previous or current experience operating various Surface Mining Equipment – Excavators, Dump Trucks – loaders, Graders & Dozers (Excavator experience is the most important)

Desirable –
•    Certificate IV WHS
•    Frontline management certification/training
