Job Responsibilities

Join the Macmahon Training Team as an Underground Trainer and Assesor, where your expertise in underground mining operations and training, plus your passion for developing people, will see you succeed and contribute to the development and ongoing success of our people across our underground mining operations within WA.

About the role:

• Develop training plans in conjunction with the site leadership team to manage compliance and provide career development 
• Coordinate and execute planned training activities
• Manage delivery of site based inductions for new employees
• Maintain integrity of training records on site using Macmahon business processes and digital systems (SuccessFactors, Power BI, Cloud Assess)
• Conduct observations and safety interactions to develop employee’s understanding of operating procedures.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Review training materials to ensure content is fit for purpose and of a high standard.

About you:

• Current Certificate IV Training and Assessment (Essential)
• Previous experience in Underground training 
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with the use of digital applications and technology
• Current WA Manual Drivers Licence 
• Competent in operating various equipment onsite up to and including Production or Development Drills. 
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels.
• Recent RII Qualifications for heavy mining equipment. (desirable).
• Certificate IV Work Health and Safety. (desirable).
• Management Certificate/Training.(desirable).
• First Aid Cert.
