Student Vacation Program – Surface Mining Engineer
As part of our commitment to developing future industry leaders, Macmahon is offering 24 Vacation Student positions for the 2025/2026 summer period. These opportunities are open to current university students pursuing studies in Mining Engineering
Through our Vacation Student Engineer Program, you'll gain hands-on experience across our Surface sites in Western Australia, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. This structured 10–12-week program is designed to support your professional growth, offering practical exposure and valuable insights into real-world mining operations.
About the program:
Macmahon's Vacation Program provides hands-on experience, structured learning with a supportive team. As a contractor of choice for many clients of the world’s largest mining organisations, the Macmahon Vacation Program offers you the chance to apply your academic discipline across Multiple clients and commodities. The program is available to 1st, 2nd , 3rd & 4th Year Undergraduate Engineers (as of November 2025), who are Australian citizens and permanent residents with applicable working rights in countries we operate in.

Recruitment process
