With a number of Surface Mining operations now in Western Australia, Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor focusing on heavy equipment major repairs to join the team. Key accountabilities of the role include the following:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Proven experience in the major repairs and overhauls of heavy earthmoving equipment, specifically Caterpillar
  • Ensuring a safe workplace is maintained and personnel are trained/competent
  • Ensure that safe working procedures and practices are adhered to
  • Leading a team of maintenance personnel to achieve heavy equipment rebuild requirements as planned for the workshop and repairs
  • Coordinate the repair/overhaul maintenance, to optimise workable times and minimise turn-around time
  • Ensure compliance to work scopes, costs and allowances
  • Ensure job costs are monitored for progress and scope
  • Ensure business processes are adhered to at all times
  • Ensure accurate recording of all maintenance activities
  • Development and mentoring of maintenance personnel and apprentices
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities leading to a safer workplace, increased productivity and higher competencies
  • Drive continuous improvement, to ensure optimum efficiencies on an ongoing basis
