Job Responsibilities

Macmahon is seeking experienced Low Voltage Electricians to join our maintenance team at Foxleigh Mine—a well-established open cut coal operation producing PCI coal for global steel markets. If you’re trade-certified, safety-focused, and ready to contribute to a high-performing crew, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on LV systems (≤1000V AC / ≤1500V DC).
• Troubleshoot lighting, cabin controls, comms, and electrical panels on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr or similar OEM fleets.
• Lead reactive and scheduled maintenance across haul trucks, dozers, excavators, graders, and ancillary plant.
• Support shutdown coordination and isolations in line with permit systems and supervisor directives.
• Collaborate with site teams to uphold safety, reliability, and compliance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Cert III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) with coal or mining industry exposure.
• Current QLD Electrical Work Licence with proven field practice.
• Demonstrated experience on high-volume mobile plant in mining or heavy industrial environments.
• Section 4 Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Induction – Surface Coal Mining
