Leading Hand - Production
Join the Byerwen Team as a Leading Hand - Production and be responsible for helping the Mining Supervisor to effectively and efficiently manage the crew and the allocation of resources to deliver safety, production and cost objectives. Ensure your team executes tasks efficiently while adhering to company policies and site procedures, and skilfully handle equipment, including trucks and ancillary machinery, to meet and exceed production targets.
About the role
- Help the Mining Supervisor implement the daily work plan and promptly communicate any changes to the crew.
- Help deliver pre-start meetings and assist the Mining Supervisor in resource allocation to ensure safety, production, and cost efficiency.
- DIDO or BIBO services available from Mackay and/or Townsville
- Camp meals and accommodation provided/ Salary position (monthly pays)
- 6 weeks annual leave accrued
About you
- At least 2yr experience in a Leadership role or exposure to a Leadership role
- At least 5yrs experience preferably within a mine site environment
- Hold current leadership / supervisor qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of mining and safety regulations
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Current C Class Drivers Licence - manual
