HD Fitter

We are currently seeking experienced HD Fitters to join our dynamic team at Byerwen. As a crucial member of our team, you will Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
About the Role
- Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and fix problems in diesel engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other systems.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Testing and Inspection: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test and inspect vehicle and machinery components.
- Dismantling and Reassembly: Remove and replace engine components, transmissions, and other parts. Hydraulics: Maintain and repair hydraulic components of equipment like lifts, booms, and pumps.
- Welding: Use welding techniques (MIG, TIG) to repair or replace damaged parts.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Mobile Plant)
- Proven experience working on CAT and Hitachi earthmoving equipment
- Proven experience with major components, including engines, differentials, transmissions, torque, converters, final drives and minor components such as pumps and cylinders
- Ensure all HSES policies and procedures are followed and maintained Hold a Manual Drivers Licence - Mandatory
