We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Response Officer to join our team at our Byerwen mine. This person will be a crucial member of our team. You will provide crisis, emergency response readiness.
About the Role
- Provide crisis, emergency response readiness by always being contactable via radio (dayshift) and or mobile telephone after hours.
- Develop and deliver training for but not limited to the following: RII30719 - Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue, Test gas atmosphere training, CPR, First aid, Fire warden.
- Provide site security access centre coverage when medics are required elsewhere.
- Development and review of Emergency Response Procedures based the sites location & work area activities ; including but not limited to the introduction of new and existing types of heavy mobile & fixed plant equipment.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and medications.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in emergency response situations.
- Good knowledge of medical equipment and devices.
- Current manual driver’s license
