Estimator - Plant
Job Responsibilities
Macmahon currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant Estimator to join our Assets team, based in Brisbane. This position is responsible for the provision of plant and project estimates for mining and maintenance service tenders, ensuring Macmahon is supported with expert technical support and risk analysis of new tenders and existing contracts. You will work collaboratively and uphold our Macmahon values (Unity, Integrity, Pride, Courage).
About the Role:
As a Mobile Plant Estimator, you will be responsible for providing technical and operation inputs, technical evaluations, and assessing risks in relation to Mining and civil services contracts & operations. You will collaborate on tenders, provide input to commercial negotiations, and provide financial modelling for new, existing and expansion tender and contracts.
Through thorough research and ongoing market intelligence your responsibilities will also include the identification of business improvements and stay up to date with technological advances, Industry trends and compliance requirements, your ability to engage with clients and stakeholders and your commitment to teamwork will be essential to achieving positive outcomes.
About you:
- Well established and proven experience in plant estimating in a mining or construction environment.
- Relevant degree or certification in related field (e.g. Engineering)
- Demonstratable experience particularly in mobile plant maintenance and in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with proficiency in financial modelling and analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting multiple sites.
