Supervisor - Electrical

Join the Boston Shaker Underground Gold Mine team as an Experienced Underground Electrical Supervisor and be responsible for managing the department on site and provide support services to the mining department. You will be responsible to manage the workload for the team on installations, break downs, maintenance training of the team, record management and keep strict compliance measures in place of the electrical system.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
•    Accept statutory appointment as an Electrical Supervisor and ensure compliance with associated statutory responsibilities.
•    Supervise and coordinate regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
•    Utilise the SAP maintenance system in raising and closing work orders
•    Provide specialist electrical knowledge to ensure continuing operation of mobile and fixed plant
•    Contributing to strategies to minimise the electrical costs and maximise equipment availability
•    Develop, coach and mentor team members

 

About you
•    Ability to coordinate and prioritise tasks, resources, and timelines efficiently.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with various stakeholders.
•    Familiarity with mining and maintenance processes to effectively plan, execute, and document electrical activities.
•    Minimum 5 years Underground electrical experience 
•    Understanding and knowledge of mobile/electric drills
•    Understanding and knowledge of underground communication systems – leaky feeder, Wi-Fi and fibre optic
•    Be conversant with Australian AS NZS 3000-2000 electrical installations - AS NZS 3008.1.1 -1998selection of cables - AS NZS 3017 - 2001 testing & inspection guidelines
•    Current WA Electrical License
•    Section 26 training (desirable)
•    Electrical Nominee or ability to obtain.
•    High Voltage switching certificate (within 2 years)
•    First Aid Certification (desired)
•    Current C Class MANUAL Drivers Licence is a must
