Role Details

      • Location: Snowy River Gold Mine Project – Reefton, New Zealand’s South Island
      • Roster: (NZ Residents) 7 days on, 7 days off – (AUS FIFO) 14 days on 14 days off
      • Hours:  12 hour work day
      • Transport:  Drive in, drive out on a daily basis from the local region
      • Accommodation allowance provided
      • Competitive remuneration package


About the Role 

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced AGI Operators to join our team at the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island from October 2026.

We are looking for experienced AGI Operators, as a part of the team you will Operate and maintain underground AGI equipment safely and efficiently to support mining production activities, ensuring compliance with site safety, environmental, and operational standards.


Responsibilities 

      • Follow mine plans, work instructions, and operating procedures 
      • Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately  
      • Help teammates, share knowledge and support a strong crew culture

      • Valid manual (C class) Australian drivers licence (Essential)
