Raise Drilling Superintendent

We are currently looking for an experienced Raise Drilling Superintendent to join our Team in South Australia. While this role is based in our Lonsdale office, it is expected that the successful candidate will frequently travel across our Australian sites.

Reporting to the Raise Drilling Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing our raise bore drill rigs fleet and assuring that all of our drilling activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing execution of our raise bore drilling projects, including mobilisation planning and progress reports, manning management and consumable requirements, etc.;
  • Providing technical expertise, knowledge and experience in raise drilling activities to the site based teams and the business;
  • Coaching and developing team members to help them reach their full potential;
  • Resolving complex issues that can influence the drilling timeline and proposing improvements as required;
  • Completing frequent site inspections to ensure our operations conform with the plans and are being carried out safely and efficiently;
  • Building and maintaining strong, customer focused working relationships with clients;
  • Working closely with the Business Development team on identifying new business opportunities with new and existing clients; and
  • Working with Raise Drilling Manager on implementing a strategy for our raise drilling division. 

To be considered for a role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in a similar role,
  • Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and ability to motivate and manage a team; 
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and engagement skills;
  • Ability to travel to remote locations on a short notice; and
  • Current "C" Class Drivers Licence.
